All things Blue and Red, All things KU…. All things Jayhawk!

The Fifty-2 Weeks of 2013 posed “The Colour of your Week” as a photographic theme, this week.

It’s almost March, and I am a Jayhawk. March means one thing, alone – college basketball season!! The game schedule has started shaping my routine… Having moved back home, across the globe from my Alma Mater, I have taken to waking up at unearthly hours to watch my team play…routine things (like, breakfast, for instance) get put on hold until my team gets off the court. March Madness has set in even before March has gotten here!

So, when I was asked to pick a colour that represented my week, there was no question – we Jayhawks bleed blue! 🙂 I got around to clicking a few pictures this morning to share on the group… here they are!

Memoirs from Jayhawk Nation :)

“Once a Jayhawk, always a Jayhawk!”, they said to me in my freshman year. Truer words haven’t been uttered! College spirit hits everybody pretty hard, and I am no exception! The memory of being in a packed Allen Fieldhouse as we won the NCAA in 2008 will still get the goosebumps up on me…. the opening lines of “Far Above the Golden Valley” never fail to choke me up.. My college years form some of my fondest memories ever, and I’m proud to bleed blue! Just the other day, I was watching a re-run of How I Met Your Mother on TV, and I noticed the KU t-shirt on Marshall… I promise, I sat up a little taller.. chin a tad bit higher than it was before 😉

The campus, according to me, is a photographer’s dream – I might sound a little biased, but a prettier campus, I haven’t seen! I’m sharing some pictures (some of these are from a phone camera and others from a Sony point and shoot) of KU that I’ve clicked over my years there.. enjoy 🙂 ROCK CHALK JAYHAWK!!
